Just got a Studer A820 24 tk. It's awesome. First victims were Denver's Adai. A great session. Heavy as all heck. We tracked a 4 song EP and they are coming back in July to mix. No clowning around this time.

New equipment coming soon: 2 new LA-2A clones and an EMT tube plate reverb!

New projects coming soon: finishing up a full-length for locals World's First Flying Machine, and welcoming New Ruins and their beards in July for two songs for my new Great Western Records Label. Stay tuned.

Great Western Record Recorders is an analog recording studio owned and operated by Matt Talbott (previously singer/guitarist for Hum). A 750 square-foot wood and plaster live room is the center piece of an artist-friendly and beautifully constructed facility which offers new as well as seasoned musicians a rich and creative environment. The studio is located in an historic turn-of-the-century two-story brick building in downtown Tolono, Illinois, just south of Champaign, and offers just enough isolation for you to immerse yourself in your music without worldly interruption.
